Voyage is a display typeface, created from a connection between the east and west. Showing homage to Dari calligraphy. This typeface is the result of questioning how Latin letters would change when using the properties of Dari, which is written from right to left. Paying respect to the Khan family, the current owners of Khan's bargain store. Voyage shows distance, travelling between languages. Created from a building that has provided its occupiers and community with normality through two World Wars. Allowing a family who had to flee their home country of Afghanistan due to extreme conflict a chance to rebuild their life. Something which the UK should be proud of, not protesting against.
