My typeface 'Vendor' is inspired by Peckham Car boot. It is inspired by the transportation and unboxing, a key element to the cycle of purchasing. When visiting Harris academy on a Sunday, I was initially drawn to the stall displays, stacks of boxes and hangers each positioned to showcase their items and draw in customers. I tried out various angles of a boxed cube, grid in which my 'taped' typeface would wrap around. I repeated a jagged taped feature, perspectives serifs and angles, giving it cohesion. My kerning is tight allowing the letters to fit together like pieces. Resulting in a uniform, contained and geometric appearance.
