Situated in Burgess Park, the 'Old Canal Bridge,' often referred to by the local community as the 'Bridge to Nowhere,' is a distinctive landmark that enhances the park's atmosphere with colour and character. I was inspired by the bridge's many patterns. The diamond shapes formed by the truss structure are framed by black metal bars, providing a strong visual foundation for my typeface.
When the full alphabet is combined, it creates a visual language reminiscent of a busy construction site or industrial landscape, emphasising the development and drastic transformation of the park and its surrounding area over time.
