My display typeface 'Stopped' is inspired by Camberwell Bus Garage. It draws inspiration from the sturdy metal structures (in and around the garage), the embroidery on bus seats and my first visit there where I experienced the lack of access to the site. I was drawn to the seat pattern of the 68 bus, so I found its moquette. I then traced it and used it as a grid to make a matrix typeface. To make the typeface as cohesive as possible, I repeated curves and thicknesses in certain parts of letters and made the letters mono spaced.
