My typeface is inspired by the architectural form of Peckham Library. The building resembles an inverted book supported by slender stilts, creating a strong visual contrast between heaviness and lightness. Inside the library, the reading rooms appear suspended, almost like UFOs, reinforcing the feeling of being held up rather than grounded. This spatial quality influenced my type design. The letterforms emphasize a top-heavy structure with lighter bases, echoing the sense of support and balance found in the architecture. Based on this structural idea, I named the typeface 'Stilt.'
