Split Event is based on the principles taken from the corridor in John Latham's house, now open as Flat Time House. Each room in Latham's house was assigned a body part that it most reflected. The corridor from which the kitchen, bathroom and kitchen stemmed from, was titled 'body event', where all necessary functions are held together. This inspired the offset baseline for my typeface, it's non-traditional nature reflects the non-traditional way in which John Latham viewed the world.
