Sonder Station is a decorative font inspired by Peckham Rye station and a feeling I experienced during primary research. I sat just outside the station, sketching and recording sound. While the recordings did not reveal much about the station itself, they led me to a moment of sonder. I began to shift my focus away from myself and towards the people moving through the space around me. Each passer-by had their own life, relationships, experiences, and emotions, separate from mine. The station became a place where many individual lives briefly overlapped. Rather than referencing the station's physical characteristics, this font is primarily shaped by that moment of awareness.
