My display typeface 'Saint' is inspired by the angelic St Giles Church. I identify my typeface as historic and uniformed with the main inspiration coming from a blend of gravestones and a traditional gothic serif font. The skeleton of my type can be linked back to calligraphy strokes regarding the lines starting thinner, then gaining weight as it curves round and down, as well as keeping in mind a design that could be easily carved into stone. Incorporating a slanted line into some of my letters was my way of putting a personal spin on to the font as there are existing fonts comparable to mine.
