Ragtime Display calls to those who favor outgoing and loud styles of type as opposed to smoother, minimalistic, classic styles. Based on the mix of gothic 19th-century typefaces of St. Giles' church with the mazy, contemporary linework designs of the stage art in the church's crypt-turned jazz club, this trippy typeface accentuates any animated form of writing or artwork. A fusion of both sites, the gothic-serif letters combined with the linear intricacy portrays the contrasting yet uniting aesthetic, material, and atmospheric relationship between the two sites, all within a font.
