Portico Beau is a serif font based on Camberwell House (now Southwark Registry). It takes classic serif style and adds arrowheads and unique details based on the grade II heritage listed railings that are a protected as a piece of special architectural or historic interest. The shapes directly derivate from the cast iron structures surrounding the building. It came from on-site drawings and research of the registry's history, that being a mental health 'Asylum' that was progressive for its time being one of the first to promote physical activity for patients, this and the architecture directly inspires this new Typeface.
