Pillar is a display typeface based on the georgian era pillar design. This typeface is inspired by portland house and represents the contrast between georgian design and modern minimalism. After walking through the building I noticed that as the pillar enters the roof it becomes darker hiding all the intricate details. I tried to replicate this by using one solid colour to make up the rest of each letter. Primarily this font is a modern reprisentation of georgian pillars and highlights the changes in design since then.
