Persona is a display font, inspired by Wetherspoons' identity crisis due to impact of British pub culture. The design uses influences from 1800s Georgian architecture seen in The Kentish Drovers, and combines it with graffiti artwork seen on and around the building to symbolise the unruly and turbulent atmosphere of the pub. While the font contains elements that appear classical and decorative, it is designed to look handmade and rough to appear as if it is spray-painted. The tension between sophistication and lack of inhibition makes it wonderfully messy, yet it somehow creates a picture of chaos coexisting with order.
