What immediately caught my attention at Peckham Rye Station was its physical form and the beauty in the architecture which is now hidden away by newer buildings. When I was designing my typeface I wanted to reflect the structure of the site to bring attention to the station instead of hiding it away. To do this I focused on one feature that I particularly liked which were the windows. The letters are rounded to reflect the arched shape of the windows and I included the keystone and the ridges as serifs which are seen in the stonework around the windows.
